As a community we embrace all styles of HE, supporting all HE families to flourish. We are not a school and we do not offer a curriculum; instead we provide a space where parents can offer and accept opportunities to get together to make connections, share activities and socialise. Some activities are group classes or field trips that are difficult for families to do alone. Pre-covid, CHEF was a more formalised group but now is the term we use to describe all families wishing to home educate in the area who work together to collaborate and build community. To facilitate this, we use a searchable Google group email list you can join below - it is a safe, central place where you can see others' posts (past and present) and create your own.

Our community currently has several hundred families based in Cambridge and outlying towns and villages. It has been in existence since 2002. We have minimal bureaucracy with this email group to facilitate and support activities for home educating families and we all warmly welcome you to join us!
